I booked 7 days prior from a location de voiture company. I hired a vehicle to suit 4 adults along with a two years old kid in a vehicle seat. Thirty two days 1186 euros from July 30 to Aug 31 2010.
Once I reached the airport named Bari-Palese in Italy. Just taking down all my information, I explained I'd need TD Elite Gold credit card and didn't want additional insurance. (I had been told in Italy the basic theft insurance coverage is mandatory, my charge card company explained when which was so that they would cover some tax deductible or excess). But he was cool by using it and not scared me into additional insurance. It was weird to view in the
location voiture company and that he handed over the key of the Renault Megane.
There you have it, then I walked away & also to the vehicle lot. Found a brand newly appeared silver Renault Megane four door and hatch, turbo diesel, AC, fully packed with 1200km about the odometer.
It had been an incredible, clean, very fuel effective car. Even had some headlight adjustments.
Drove everything around Puglia & through Basilicata and also to the South most corner in Italy, Calabria. Really a beautiful drive totally 3300kms
After thirty two days I'd to trap a flight ticket at 8:20am however the Europe location de voiture office didn't open until 8am. I'd have boarded the flight at that time. I had been scared of the "extra amount" they expected for opening work early. Well I known as 1800 number prior plus they said just disappear within the mail slot in the Europcar desk in the airport. Used to do and all sorts of good.
