The Costa del Sol. Fun in the sun for sure. With over 300 days each year of warm sunshine it’s no wonder that so many of us choose to holiday there each year.
So you’ve chosen the Costa del Sol as your holiday destination this year, kids have their arm bands and rubber rings packed, mums got her new bikini sorted, and dads located all the great bars where he can watch the football. But hold on! Where are you going to stay? No problem the Costa del Sol has accommodation in abundance. So let’s take a look at your options.
**Hotels**
We are all different when it comes to accommodation. Booking Costa del Sol hoteles is one option and has many advantages.
If you prefer room service then a hotel is for you. Lots of people feel happier about having someone on call to help, especially if you have young children. Hotels also provide many facilities which are not on offer when booking say a villa or an apartment. For example gymnasium, swimming pools, restaurants and children’s play area are all good examples of facilities offered by most hotels on the Costa del Sol.
You also get room service thrown in including the changing of bedding and generally cleaning.
**Apartment and Villa Rentals**
Many people do not like the inflexibility of staying in a hotel. Meal times are set at a certain time and if you are very unfortunate, you may also have the neighbours from hell. One option is to rent a private villa either from the owner direct or via a local agent. There are a multitude of villa rentals in Marbella and other areas of the Costa del Sol to choose from. Renting a villa or an apartment direct generally gives you more flexibility and privacy.
**Bed and Breakfast**
If you are only staying for a short period of say 3 or 5 days, a bed and breakfast maybe something you will want to consider. These are not as popular as hotel or private villa and apartment rentals but there are a number of these on the Costa del Sol, especially slightly inland.
B and B’s are generally quite simple in what they offer so do not expect too much.
So if you are travelling to the Costa del Sol this summer and are looking for holiday accommodation. Remember that you have plenty of options.
